Pools are fundamentally different.
Traditional door systems fail here.
Office keycards, plastic fobs, and paper barcodes are built for dry environments with pockets. Here is how QRTick Pass solves the operational realities of swimming pools.
The Old Way on Pool Decks
- ✕The Pocket Problem: Swimmers in swimsuits have no pockets. Carrying phones near pools causes drop hazards and water damage.
- ✕Paper & soggy tickets: Day-pass receipts and paper barcodes disintegrate in wet hands and jam barcode scanners.
- ✕Summer camp bottlenecks: 30 school children waiting at the gate while staff manually tick a paper clipboard.
- ✕Distracted lifeguards: Staff spend critical safety time verifying plastic cards instead of observing water zones.
The QRTick Aquatic Way
- Apple Watch & Smartwatch Tap: Members tap their waterproof watch to the reader. Instant green light in 0.8 seconds.
- \$1 Silicone Waterproof Wristbands: Cheap, indestructible RFID bands for kids, lap swimmers, and day visitors.
- 1-Tap Group Lead Passes: One pass issued to the teacher registers the whole 28-student roster immediately.
- Lifeguard Photo Verification: Headshots display immediately on the staff tablet to keep unvetted visitors out of youth swim areas.
Every feature tuned for pool operations.
Apple Watch & Smartwatch NFC
Passes provision directly to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. Parents and lap swimmers walk up to the gate in swimsuits, tap their waterproof watch, and enter hands-free.
Group Lead & School Field Trips
Stop printing 30 individual day passes for swim clubs or school field trips. Issue one "Group Lead" pass encoded with capacity. Tap once to log the entire group onto the deck instantly.
Deck Photo Verification
Protect vulnerable youth swimming areas. When a pass or band taps, staff or lifeguard displays instantly show the member's photo, membership status, and minor authorization.
Waterproof Silicone Wristbands
For kids without smart devices and casual single-visit guests. Waterproof, durable, and cost under \$1 each. Assign in two seconds at the desk or mail out for the season.
Automated Passes & Punchcards
Sell 10-visit lap swim punchcards, seasonal family passes, and swim lesson bundles online. The system tracks remaining balances and enforces pass limits automatically.
Unattended Dawn-to-Dusk Swim
Allow dedicated master swimmers and early-bird lap lane members into the pool area before desk staff arrive. Our cloud relays unlock turnstiles securely with full audit logs.
Choose the deployment that fits your pool deck.
Whether you need a quick desk reader for lifeguards or automated turnstiles for a municipal complex, the same cloud platform powers both.
Lifeguard Desk & Reception Scanner
Ideal for manned pool gates, front counters, and seasonal snack-bar check-ins. Zero construction required.
• Any iPad, Android Tablet, or Laptop

Answers for aquatic managers & swim directors.
How does this solve the "pocket problem" for swimmers in swimwear?
Swimmers don’t carry pockets for wallets and prefer not to keep expensive smartphones near the water. With QRTick Pass, members tap their waterproof Apple Watch or WearOS device directly to the gate reader. For children, guests, and day swimmers, we provide durable, ultra-low-cost waterproof silicone RFID wristbands that slip onto the wrist and survive chlorinated or salt water.
How do large summer camps and school field trips check in without bottlenecking the gate?
Instead of issuing 30 individual cards or making a lifeguard count heads in a chaotic crowd, our system issues a single "Group Lead" pass to the teacher or camp leader. This pass is digitally encoded with group capacity (e.g. 28 students). A single tap checks in the entire group and surfaces the full roster on the staff display in under a second.
Can we run this at a simple lifeguard desk without installing turnstiles?
Yes! Our Tier 1 setup requires only a plug-and-play USB reader (like the WalletMate II) connected to a lifeguard tablet, laptop, or front desk PC. When a member taps their watch, phone, or band, the screen flashes green with their photo for instant visual verification.
Do you support automated turnstiles and unstaffed early-morning lap swim?
Yes. Our Enterprise hardware configuration connects a weather-rated external reader to a secure relay controller (Raspberry Pi Access Engine) inside your equipment room. Members can tap in for 5:00 AM lap swim even when front desk staff have not yet arrived, with every entry logged to the cloud.
Can members buy season passes and day passes online before arriving?
Yes. Members can purchase seasonal family passes, lap swim memberships, or single-day visit punchcards from their phone. Once payment completes, their pass installs directly into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet with one click, ready for immediate use at the gate.
How does photo verification protect pool deck safety?
Whenever a pass or wristband is tapped, the staff gate dashboard instantly displays the member’s high-contrast profile photo. This stops unauthorized pass-sharing and ensures only verified, registered members and accompanied minors enter your aquatic zone.
